In the course we give an introduction to linear algebra and some of its interesting applications. The main topics are:

• linear equations in linear algebra,
• matrix algebra,
• determinants,
• vector spaces,
• eigenvalues and eigenvectors,
• orthogonality and least-squares,
• symmetric matrices and quadratic forms.
